C.R.O.P. Walk

This year's walk which is being held on Sunday,
October 11, 2015 will start once again this year at our church. Registration forms are in the church office or if you would like to register (and/or donate) click the link above. Like every year, you can choose between a shorter or longer walk. If you are unable to walk please sponsor a walker or make an online donation. Pastor Dave will gladly allow you to sponsor him! Two x Two Visitations
making random visit to fellow parisheners.  They do call before they stop out, so they won't just show up.  If you desire a visit or know someone that might enjoy a visit please let Bertha know in the church office or contact . 
  Vacation Bible School
(Contact person - Janet Burkey) Each June the area churches come together to present a 5 day program for the children in our community.  Teen helpers are greatly appreciated, too!  If you would like to help at all just leave a message in the office or see Janet Burkey.

September is the month for donation money to purchase a shoe or pair of shoes (or more) for needy children in the area.  Donations can be left in the church office or in the offeratory basket on Sunday mornings (please mark adopt-a-foot on your envelope). 
Red Bird Misson Work Camp Trip &
    Kentucky Mountain Dinner

Each year a team of worker travels to Beverly, Kentucky for a work project.  Our annual fundraiser is the Kentucky Mountain Dinner is usually in May. 

Red Cross Blood Drive

our church hosts a Red Cross Blood Drive which is held at Garden Brook Banqet Center in Cortland.  We need cookie bakers and volunteers to man the registration desk and the canteen.  This is a fun day for all that help.  You can sign up for a 2 hour shift by contacting Janet Burkey or leaving a message for her in the church office. 
Cortland Area Cares Food Pantry
 (Contact person - ) Cortland Area Cares is a L.O.A.F. project with many volunteers from local Cortland churches.  If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity please leave a message for Katie at the church office.  Food distribution days are usually the last Tuesday of each month with some holiday months as exceptions. If you would like to donated non-perishable food or toiletry items please take to the counter by the north side door of the church or leave in the sanctuary on the first Sunday of each month.  In October you can help us collect food for Make a Differnence Day.
(Contact person - ) This year we will be holding our annual shoe box shopping and packing party (DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED)  We will meet at the church and then travel to the Dollar Tree on Elm Rd.  For more information on how you can get involved with our church's part in this ministry click the link above entitled "Operation Christmas Child."
Angel Tree Giving
 (Contact person - Bertha Cyphert)  In November we will have names of children on ornaments which will be hanging on a bulletin board in the fellowship hall.  Please take a name(s) if you would like to be a Christmas blessing to them this year. 
Salvation Army Bell Ringing

Each November and December we give you opportunities to sign up to ring the Salvation Army Bell at Sparkle grocery store on N. High Street.  Please contact Bertha in the church office or sign up when the sign-up sheets are passed through the congregation. 
Printer Cartridge Recycling

You can leave your old printer cartridges at the church near the north side door entrance.  These are recycled for cash.
Aluminum Can Recycling
(Contact persons -  Doris Lines) 
You are welcome to save your aluminum cans and bring them to the church.  We appreciate if you could rinse your cans prior to bringing them to the church so that we do not attract ants.  Thank you! 
Labels for Education
Please save your labels for Education which are found on many food packages.  These can be left in the container on the counter near the north side entrance of the church.  We donate these labels to the Red Bird Mission Work Camp.
